FA Cup semi-finals sparking mass pitch invasion

ASTON VILLA 2-0 WEST BROM - AT VILLA PARK: It has been a long, hard winter at Villa Park, full of despair and despondency. Yet in the twilight of a spring evening, it seemed the old stadium had something to celebrate again in a famous FA Cup victory over West Bromwich Albion. But, alas, that was not the whole story here on Saturday evening. Thousands of Villa fans were so intent on goading their rivals, they would invade the pitch before the game had finished. Villa's players and their new manager Tim looked on bewildered by the stupidity.
